Senior Contract/Project Manager 

We are looking for a Senior Contract/Project Manager to help maintain and enhance critical infrastructure across Guernsey Ports.

This is an exciting opportunity to lead significant capital infrastructure projects across some of Guernsey’s most iconic facilities, including our harbours and airport.

The successful candidate will support Guernsey Ports to deliver a high standard of service to its customers through the delivery of infrastructure projects. They will support the business in the planning, management and execution of projects outlined within our Business Plan and assist in setting future operational business strategies and objectives.

They will ensure that projects are properly developed, with infrastructure elements properly designed, specified and constructed, also engaging suitably skilled consultants/contractors to perform necessary tasks, and manage their performance.

The salary range is between £63,800 and £78,577 per annum, depending on experience.

Head of Airside Operations 

Guernsey Ports has an exciting opportunity for a Head of Airside Operations.

The successful candidate will be responsible for all airside operations, ensuring that Guernsey and Alderney Airports provide a safe and compliant operation for all aircraft, passengers, vehicles and staff.

As a member of the Guernsey Ports Senior Leadership team, you will have:

  • A proven track record including broad operational knowledge and experience in the aviation sector (minimum of 10 years’ relevant experience).
  • Detailed knowledge and proven industry experience of airport operations including quality management system (QMS), safety management system (SMS) and security management system (SeMS) principles and practices.
  • Experience as a qualified lead investigator, in order to assist with the investigation of safety occurrences at Guernsey and Alderney Airports.
  • Analytical and problem solving skills including trend analysis and ability to identify causal, contributing and aggravating factors.

The salary range is £91,205 - £102,770 per annum depending on experience.

Mechanical and Electrical Technician

We have an exciting opening for a Mechanical and Electrical Technician to join our team at Guernsey Ports!

We are looking for someone who will relish the opportunity to help maintain some of our island's most important infrastructure and keep our Ports open, safe and secure!

We are looking for a multi-skilled tradesperson who will embrace the opportunity to help maintain a wide array of Ports assets at sea, on land and at our airport.

Whether you're a highly-experienced technician and diagnostician who can take on senior responsibility, or recently-qualified at level 3 in a relevant trade, we would like to hear from you!

All candidates must have a minimum of 3 years experience in mechanical, electrical, carpentry or marine engineering. Salary and seniority will be dependent on your experience and capability.

Ground Security Officers

Are you a people person and a good communicator?  This could be the perfect opportunity for you.

We’re building a new team of security officers to ensure every traveller passing through our airport terminal enjoys a seamless and positive experience. No prior security experience is needed - we will provide comprehensive training, but you will need excellent customer service skills and be able to engage with people confidently and courteously with the ability to stay calm and focused under pressure.

As a vital member of our team, you’ll enjoy a busy and diverse role. From patrolling the terminal to assisting passengers through security, handling customer enquiries, responding to security incidents, every day brings new challenges and opportunities for growth.

This full-time position operates on a shift pattern spanning four days, with hours ranging between 05:15 and 21:30.
